Tanaiste Visits Hydro Electric Plant in Silvermines

I was delighted to attend the visit of Tanaiste Simon Coveney to the site of the Hydro Electric Plant in the Silvermines. I have been involved with this project for some time now and I’m in constant contact with Darren Quinn, CEO. Siga-Hydro. Siga Hydro announced plans in early 2016 for a pumped storage hydroelectric power station in Silvermines, Tipperary and continues to progress and develop the Project. Silvermines Hydro Electric Power Station (300MW) is supported is a Strategic Project of National Importance and can enable Ireland to meet its climate change ambitions.
